Film Industry-

The film industry makes up a significant proportion of the media Industry. The Film Industry uses both technological and commercial aspects to make films. The film Industry  is made up of production companies, screenwriters, actors, directors and many other roles such as camera crews.

There are so many Film companies all over the world. Some major film companies are listed below;

20th Century Fox– This company is an American based film studio. It has a major involvement in British comedy.

DreamWorks- DreamWorks was established in 1994 by Stephen Spielberg, David Geffen and Jeffery Katzenburg. DreamWorks is famous for films such as Shrek, Trolls and Madagascar.

Radio Industry-

The Radio Industry broadcasts radio programmes to the public. There are hundreds of radio companies all over the world. The radio industry also communicates with the public and can also be used as a promotion and advertising source for other areas of the media such as music and print.

Heart – Heart is a British radio company, Heart now has many stations all over the country such as in Kent, Essex and London. Heart was originally set up in 1994 in the West midlands and later arrived in London in 1995.

BBC Radio One– BBC Radio One is a radio company set up by the BBC. The BBC have a large range of radio channels, ranging from Radio One to BBC radio news and son on. BBC Radio One was founded in 1967 however the BBC itself was founded in 1922.

Television Industry-

The television industry makes up a large amount of the media industry. The television industry is responsible for broadcasting television series and programmes on various channels.

ITV Studios – The ITV is a famous television company set up in 1933 and began broadcasting on Channel 3 in London.  The ITV is famous for British Drama Series such as Broadchurch and Victoria as well as its News programme and daytime shows such as Loose Women and This Morning.

Channel 5- Channel 5 is a famous television company set up in 1997 and was the fifth network set up in the UK. Channel 5 is popular for series such as Big Brother, CSI as well as Childrens programme Milkshake! and also long running sopas Home and Away and Neighbours.

Music Industry-

The music industry involves companies who take on singers and songwriters and then make money by creating and selling music. There are thousands of music companies all over the globe.

Print Industry-

The print industry makes up a large proportion of the media industry. The Print Industry includes magazines, newspapers and books. The Print Industry is responsible for all copies of publication.

Computer Gaming Industry-

The gaming industry involves the creation, production and sale of computer Games. Computer Gaming became popular in 1971 when computer space, an arcade game, was released.

Advertising and Marketing–

Advertising and Marketing also makes up a large proportion of the media industry. Advertising and Marketing involves promoting companies throughout the media in order to get them more publicity, more sales or more clients and so on.

Interactive Media Industry- 

The interactive media industry is a product or service that is displayed on digital technology and respond to a users actions. Interactive media includes text, moving images, video, audio and much more.
